A Bit About Me
I was born and raised in southern Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, where my roots in hard work and community began. From grade school through college, I worked alongside my family in our commercial fishing business. Summers and holidays were spent offshore on shrimp boats, and during the school year I sold seafood and helped maintain equipment and supplies to keep our vessels running.

I am a licensed vessel captain and a proud graduate of Ellender Memorial High School, Nicholls State University, and the Southern University Law Center, where I earned my law degree.

Before and during law school, I built a career in the oil and gas industry, serving as an offshore crew boat captain throughout the Gulf. My work took me in and out of ports from Texas to Florida, collaborating with service companies, contractors, dive crews, dispatchers, shipyards, and the U.S. Coast Guard on vessel inspections and operations.

I understand firsthand the challenges faced by commercial fishermen and oilfield workers. These industries, once the livelihood of my family and community, now sustain only a few due to the difficulties they continue to endure. I have weathered the same seas as many other mariners and service hands, and those experiences instilled in me a deep respect for resilience, fairness, and integrity.

Alongside my wife of 14 years, Aimee, and our two children, Caroline and Anthony, I remain deeply connected to my community and the values that shaped me. It was this foundation that led me to pursue a legal career—to learn, to serve, and to stand alongside those in need of guidance and counsel.
